Christ Gospel India has operated an Orphanage in the city of Kakinada very near our Head Quarters for over 25 years. The indian government has strict oversight of orphanages with two levels of approval. The heighest level of approval is for orphans that do not have either parent living. The next level is for children with one parent living, but that parent cannot or will not support the child. Our Orphanage has this second level of approval.
It is interesting to note that our founder, Rev. B.R. Hicks, was herself an orphan. Her dear father passed away when she was a young girl and her mother turned her, and her younger siblings over to an orphanage in Owensboro, Kentucky, U.S.A.
The Christ Gospel India Orphanage provides care for 40 orphans. Each child is provided 24/7/365 supervision, primary education, clothing, three meals daily and medical care as needed.
One businessman and member of Christ Gospel in the US, has visited these humanitarian relief programs on a regular basis since the mid 1990's. and notes that many orphans that have been cared for, and educated in our Orphanage, are now productive adults. Recently, three young men who grew up in the Christ Gospel Orphanage, sent funds and gifts to the Orphanage from their post, working in the Middle East. The contrast is dramatic. These three orphans on the street would have had little hope in life, but because they were cared for and educated within our Orphanage, they are now working abroad for foreign firms, sending funds back to other Orphans in the Home they grew up in.
If your heart is moved to provide a onetime donation to support the Christ Gospel India Orphanage, or ongoing support of US $50 per month to support
one orphan, your gift will be gratefully received. US Citizens and residents will receive annual donation receipts which can be used for tax deductions.
Instructions for donations are included in the "Contact Us" section of this website.
