Mobile Medical Camps

Medical care is almost nonexistent in many parts of rural India. On a bi-weekly basis Christ Gospel India goes where the need is. Medical Doctors provide service free of charge on Saturdays to work in our "Mobile Medical Clinics". We set up shop in the midst of poor villages. Hundreds of adults and children come and wait in line to be treated and receive medication as necessary.

We are adding a new part of this program to provide prescription eye glasses to the poor. We collect used prescription eye glasses in the US and send them to India to be used in our "Eyesight India" program, a part of our Mobile Medical Clinic Camps. The eye glasses sent from the US are cleaned and inspected by volunteers. Local Opticians donate their time to examine the poor to determine the prescription needed and then fit patients with glasses. This simple program enhances the quality of life for many of the rural poor in India.
